When it comes to the route, there is only one route to get to the summit. The route is equipped with huts, with simple beds. You will need sleeping bags for the beds, which we can supply. We suggest however you bring your own as ours have been used by others and you might not feel comfortable in them. We can also supply new sleeping bags for an extra cost.
There are unofficial routes up Mount Meru that are located on the northern and west side of the mountain, they are illegal routes and are highly dangerous to use, as the people/companies that may offer you these routes are working illegally and without paying taxes, park fees, and without any safety for you.
Extra Tip: An ideal time for trekking Mount Meru is the dry seasons that are between June to October or you have the option of December to February. You can treek the mountain at other times as well, but it will be more challenging and succeeding will be a lot harder.
The Momella Route
